Advocacy Committee

Advocacy is at the heart of systems change. The Advocacy Committee helps ensure that the voices of people experiencing homelessness and housing instability are reflected in community decisions, policies, and priorities.

This committee works to connect what is happening on the ground with the broader community response—helping turn identified needs into coordinated action, shared messaging, and meaningful change.

Advocacy Committee Action Statement

The Advocacy Committee is responsible for keeping the Coalition informed about issues, decisions and opportunities that affect the clients that we serve who are struggling with homelessness, poverty and the factors that surround these issues. The committee assists with gathering information about the emerging needs and gaps in services identified by the Service Providers committee. This committee develops coherent unifying messages about needed services that the Public Relations Committee can use to inform the community and that the Coalition members can use to advocate for the development of these services.

BCHHC Advocacy Committee Goals

The Advocacy Committee works to strengthen collaboration across partners, elevate emerging needs, and ensure that policy and community responses are aligned with real-world experiences of homelessness and housing instability. Through shared learning and coordinated messaging, the committee helps drive effective, compassionate, and informed advocacy efforts across Brown County.
