01/28/2016 – Point in Time Count

  • Posted by: Brown County Homeless & Housing Coalition

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who were a part of the state wide Point in Time count last night in Brown County. 10 people were identified as sleeping outside last night which unfortunately has been average for this area. In our opinion that number should be zero.

How can we as a community help decrease that number? Is it fighting for more affordable housing, employment opportunities with living wages, increase mental health accessibility, more shelter availability? Where can we as a community start making a difference for our fellow men and woman struggling out on the street or on the verge of becoming homeless?

Thank you to Channel 2 for the coverage of the Point in Time count.
