Coalition and community members are still trying to advocate for the funds that were being used to house our community members (84 households in Brown, 134 total across 10 counties in NEWCAP's region) by transferring to other agencies to prevent evictions and people forced back to the streets who are in units currently. ![]()

These agencies offer the coordinated entry assessment which priorities vulnerabilities and places people on the list based on need. When agencies who have specific funding have an opening, they will pull off that list. This reduces people from having to call all the agencies and tell their story and hopefully make it faster to fil spots when needed. ![]()

Over the past several months, we have been thoughtfully realigning the work, structure, and focus of Ruby’s Pantry to ensure our mission remains at the center of everything we do.
