Veterans and their families may be eligible for a range of housing, recovery, and supportive services. Eligibility may vary by program.


Center for Veterans Issues (CVI) – Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

Provides rapid rehousing and eviction prevention assistance for veterans and their families, helping stabilize housing and prevent homelessness.

Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA)

Provides case management, outreach, recovery-focused services, and housing stabilization supports for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The Veterans Housing and Recovery Program (VHRP) supports veterans with job training, education, counseling, and rehabilitation services to achieve stable housing and employment.

Brown County Veterans Service Office

Assists veterans, spouses, widows, and dependents in accessing federal, state, and local benefits, including guidance on eligibility and applications.

HUD-VASH Program (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing)

Provides long-term rental assistance and case management for veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

Eligible veterans receive a Housing Choice Voucher along with supportive services through the VA to maintain stable housing.

Coordinated Entry Process

Coordinated Entry is the standardized process used to assess and connect individuals and families to housing programs such as rapid rehousing and permanent supportive housing.
Based on assessment results, individuals are placed on prioritization lists and referred to appropriate programs.
